We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Art / Design Technology Technician to join a number of inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Southwark. This is a full-time, five-day-per-week role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting creative learning and thrives in a busy school environment.
The Role As an Art / DT Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning by:
* Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials, tools, and equipment for Art and DT lessons

* Supporting practical lessons to ensure a safe, engaging, and well-run learning environment

* Maintaining specialist equipment and ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times

* Assisting teachers with demonstrations, displays, and classroom setup

* Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining workshops and studios

Requirements * Previous and relevant experience working as an Art and/or DT Technician (or in a closely related role) is essential

* Strong understanding of health and safety in Art and DT settings

* Organised, proactive, and able to work independently

* Confident working with young people in a secondary school environment
