The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be at the heart of the commercial function, supporting both internal and external sales teams to maximise opportunities and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide day-to-day support to the Commercial and wider Sales teams
*Research, qualify and prepare new business opportunities
*Assist with client onboarding, including financial and compliance processes
*Maintain the CRM system: updating prospects, delegating leads, recording activity
*Support smooth onboarding of new accounts across internal departments
*Help develop leads generated via marketing, website and social media
*Attend trade shows, exhibitions and networking events
*Stay up to date with multimodal logistics services and new product developments
*Prepare solutions-led proposals tailored to client needs
*Assist with monthly and annual commercial performance reporting
What We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates will bring some logistics or freight knowledge, plus strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable Experience & Skills
*Experience in Imports or Exports, freight forwarding, logistics coordination or supply chain
*Understanding of Incoterms & international trade
*Excellent organisational, multitasking and customer service skills
*Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
*Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*Strong problem-solving skills and good geographical knowledge
Hours & Location
*Ipswich-based role (office-based)
*Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 (37.5 hours)
*Flexibility to attend events or work slightly longer hours when required
Package & Benefits
£24,784.50 (NMW) – £28,000 DOE
*25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
