Interim Financial Controller/ Finance Manager (3-4 months)
A growing, purpose-led professional services business is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide stability and leadership during a period of transition.
This is not a "hold the fort" contract. It’s an opportunity to step into a well-established finance function, work closely with the Part-Time CFO and senior leadership team, and ensure the business continues to run smoothly while a permanent London-based Finance Director is recruited.
You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting, invoice finance relationships, credit control discipline and overall financial control, while mentoring a small finance team and ensuring nothing drops during the handover period.
The role will require an initial period of being on-site with the finance team before moving to a more flexible pattern. Candidates can be based either in the North West or London, provided you are comfortable spending time with the team during the first few weeks.
This assignment will suit an experienced Financial Controller or hands-on Finance Director who:
*Is comfortable stepping into established teams and providing calm leadership
*Has strong experience of management accounts, cashflow and financial control
*Has worked with invoice finance / funding facilities
*Is confident using Xero and cloud-based systems
*Can quickly assess processes, tighten controls and document a clean handover
*Enjoys working closely with operational teams and senior leaders
*Has experience in temporary/interim recruitment, professional services, or another environment where the organisation generates revenue from time, expertise and project delivery
*ACCA / CIMA / ACA (part or fully qualified) preferred.
