Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Full Time

We are currently recruiting a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work full time in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gorton.
This role is ideal for a committed and caring individual with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a school setting.
Role Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
* Support children with SEND such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
* Personal care may be required, depending on pupil needs
Candidate Requirements * Previous experience working with children with SEND (essential)
* A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEND are desirable but not essential
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
