Are you an enthusiastic and detail-driven finance professional looking for your next opportunity? We’re recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join a successful Leicester-based business on a 9-12 month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent chance to step into a hands-on role within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
The Role Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will support the month-end and reporting process while playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial information.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
*Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
*Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
*Assisting with KPI reporting and variance analysis
*Maintaining financial records and ensuring data accuracy
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
*Working closely with internal departments to resolve queries
*Assisting with year-end audit preparation
About You We’re looking for someone who:
*Has experience in an Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant role
*Is confident with Excel and comfortable working with financial data
*Has excellent attention to detail and enjoys improving processes
*Can work independently and as part of a team
*Is available to start immediately
Part-qualified or studying (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable but not essential.
