Job Description:
Are you a detail-dri en Bookkeeper who loves building great client relationships and seeking a part time role?
Reed Practice are partnering with one of the UK’s leading accounting firms to recruit an experienced part time Bookkeeper. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team where your expertise and ideas are genuinely valued.
As a key point of contact for a portfolio of local SME clients you’ll deliver accurate, reliable bookkeeping support both on-site and remotely from the office, helping clients stay in control of their finances and empowering them to thrive.
> Working part time hours to suit you, what you’ll be doing – including but not limited to:
*Deliver daily on-site bookkeeping for clients where required, with the flexibility to manage workload remotely for others.
*Build strong, positive relationships with a wide range of SME clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
*Implement and maintain accounting software systems using tailored app stacks to boost efficiency.
*Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, capturing business income and expenditure clearly.
*Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting, preparing journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
*Process VAT returns and ensure fully compliant.
*Manage payments, invoices, income, and receipts to the highest accuracy.
*Reconcile balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.
*Manage expenses, accounts payable and accounts receivable including credit control.
*Prepare and manage weekly and monthly supplier payments.
> What you will need to be considered:
*AAT qualified or "qualified by experience".
*Proven successful Bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy firm working to UK regulations.
*Strong expertise in Xero and other accounting software, with a genuine interest and flair for technology.
*Possess an exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational and confident communication skills.
*A collaborative, client-focused approach and commitment to ongoing personal development.
*Ability to work independently and manage your workload to meet deadlines.
