Job Description:
Newstaff Employment Services is seeking talented and detail-oriented Curtain Makers - Sewing Machinists to join our team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for sewing, assembling, and finishing high-quality curtains and drapery products for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial sewing machines and a keen eye for detail to ensure each piece meets our stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities *Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabrics and create curtains according to design specifications.
*Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics for sewing, ensuring precision and accuracy.
*Assemble and finish curtain products, including adding lining, hems, and decorative elements.
*Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet client requirements.
*Maintain sewing machines and equipment, performing regular cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
*Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
*Follow safety guidelines and best practices while operating machinery and handling materials.
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist, preferably in the curtain or textile industry.
*Strong knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques.
*Experience operating industrial sewing machines efficiently.
*Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Basic math skills for measuring and cutting fabrics accurately.
*Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
*Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and best practices while working.
