The Role
As Branch & Sales Manager, you will oversee the full operation of the branch, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. Leading teams across parts, service, sales, and administration, you will champion best practice, drive performance, and represent the business with professionalism and confidence.
You’ll work closely with loyal existing customers while also identifying new opportunities to grow market share. This is a hands-on management role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, motivate, and develop a multi-disciplinary team
*Drive branch performance to meet and exceed sales and profitability targets
*Deliver exceptional service to customers, both face-to-face and via telephone
*Manage daily branch operations efficiently and effectively
*Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into loyal customers
*Uphold company standards, values, and reputation at all times
*Take ownership of decisions, using a methodical approach to problem-solving
*Ensure administrative and operational compliance
*Promote a positive, proactive culture within the branch
Skills & Experience Needed
*Solid understanding of agricultural and horticultural equipment (desirable)
*Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
*Target-driven with proven upselling and closing ability
*Self-motivated, proactive, and confident working independently
*Influential communicator with persuasive negotiation skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Strong leadership qualities with the ability to act decisively
*Excellent communication skills across all levels
*Analytical, organised, and methodical in approach
*Competent IT skills
*Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
*A mindset geared towards continual improvement
