Job Description:
This established and stable company, is looking to expand its Accounts Payable function by appointing an experienced and dependable Senior Accounts Payable Clerk. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can confidently take ownership of complex payable activities. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, payment runs, and bank reconciliations, while providing guidance and support to junior team members where required.
You will bring a strong technical understanding of Accounts Payable processes and experience a high-volume environment. Managing multiple supplier accounts, you will handle escalated queries, ensure timely resolution of issues, and maintain accurate financial records in line with internal controls and KPIs. You will build and sustain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, acting as a key point of contact and helping to drive continuous process improvement. Skills required
*Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally at Senior level, within a high-volume environment, including reconciliations and complex query management.
*Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial systems e.g. Sage/SAP.
*Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and manage supplier relationships effectively.
*The ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver against KPIs and team objectives.
