We are seeking a professional and well-organised Rent Arrears Recovery Officer to support MYA Property’s tenant arrears recovery operations. The candidate will be field based, conducting visits to tenants and providing escalation support to the Credit Control Team. The role strengthens arrears recovery capacity, improves responsiveness, and ensures consistent, structured follow up of outstanding rent cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrears Recovery
*Undertake door to door visits to high level or persistent arrears cases.
*Encourage and agree repayment plans within approved parameters.
*Issue formal arrears notices and reminders.
Coordination & Escalation
*Work closely with Credit Control Department and relevant colleagues.
*Escalate cases requiring legal action.
Reporting and Documentation
*Update and maintain the arrears list and tenancy notes in our property software platform.
*Provide regular summaries identifying:
*Tenants contacted.
*Payment arrangements agreed.
*Referrals required.
Fieldwork and Compliance
*Conduct field visits across Southampton and surrounding areas.
*Maintain accurate GDPR-compliant documentation and communication records.
