Job Description:
Part Qualified Accountant / Finance Manager (Study support) - West London - Dynamic PE Backed Real Estate Business - £40-50,000
This dynamic Private Equity backed Real Estate business is looking for a Part Qualified Accountant / Finance Manager to help look after the finance and take advantage of an excellent career development opportunity that offers genuine growth and career progression. Key tasks include:
*Reporting to the CEO and CFO and helping oversee the outsourced Finance team and review all outputs of the team, taking ownership of all elements of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
*Process improvement of both Financial and Operational areas to optimise efficiency and identify cost savings.
*Tracking of Cash Flow and strategies to optimise cashflow for growth.
*End to end month end process including drafting all board materials and commentary.
*Rolling forecasting as well as more formal Forecasting/Budgeting and 3 year planning.
*Contact with Landlords and Tenants in escalated incidents and for relationship building. Being ready to ’step in’ and resolve issues.
*Acting as a Business Partner across departments to help with decision making. Working with the Exec team on various commercial and operational projects.
*Having an informed perspective and value add input into conversations on commercial decisions, partnerships and new propositions.
*Ongoing cost control and challenge to implement savings initiatives and ensure cash is spent on growth activities.
Experience & Skills
*An ambitious Part Qualified studying Accountant looking to complete studies and build a career.
*The sector background isn’t essential but a property or multisite retail type background would be useful. However, you’ll be judged mainly on ability to learn and will to succeed rather than just sector background.
*Strong communication skills particularly with a more junior overseas team and colleagues outside of Finance.
*Exceptional Excel and ERP systems experience.
*High level of professionalism, discretion and maturity as this role will have sight of sensitive and confidential information.
*Strong cashflow management experience.
