Our client is looking for a Senior Credit Controller to collect brokerage fees from International clients globally. The role is based in the City and they currently work 4 days in the office and 1 from home.
The successful candidate will manage credit control processes within the business. Working closely with the finance team and clients to directly manage debt recovery.
It is essential that you have global credit control experience within a large corporate organisation.
Key responsibilities include
Credit Control and AR management
o Monitor aged debt and implement strategies for prompt payment.
o Directly manage high-value or complex accounts and coordinate the collection efforts for aged debt.
o Investigate and resolve backlogs of old debt and unallocated cash.
o Liaise with operators and/or customers to resolve issues related to payments, invoicing and disputes.
o Ensure timely and accurate cash allocation and reconciliation of accounts.
o Ensure that collections are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, e.g. KYC & KYP.
Collaboration across divisions
o Work with divisional finance, operators and brokers to align collection strategies, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged in the credit control process.
o Provide advice on the handling of overdue accounts and recommend appropriate actions for credit risk management.
o Coordinate and support collection activities across various divisions, ensuring uniformity in approach.
Monitoring and reporting
o Monitor the accounts receivable ledger and generate reports on aging debts and collections progress.
o Provide regular updates and insights to the Credit Control Manager, highlighting any potential risks or opportunities
