Linux Systems Engineer - Fully Remote (UK)
Up to £50,000 + benefits
ReVybe IT is working with a well-established organisation looking to add a Linux Systems Engineer to their engineering function.
This role will suit an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership of core systems, and contributing to the stability, security, and evolution of a modern infrastructure estate with increasing cloud adoption.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving on-prem and cloud-connected environments, working closely with other engineers to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
Key responsibilities:
*Designing, supporting, and improving Linux-based infrastructure
*Managing and maintaining networking components including VPNs and firewalls
*Supporting servers, databases, and core infrastructure services
*Implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g. Grafana, Zabbix or similar)
*Supporting and contributing to cloud environments, with AWS, GCP or Private Cloud
*Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and acting as an escalation point where required
What we’re looking for:
*Proven experience in a senior infrastructure/support/Sys Admin engineering role
*Strong Linux systems administration background
*Solid networking fundamentals
*Experience with infrastructure monitoring
*Exposure to cloud platforms, ideally AWS, GCP or Private Cloud
*Comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first environment
*Clear communication skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset
