Job Description:
A specialist, property-focused law firm in Nottingham is looking to recruit a Lead Service Charge Solicitor to manage a busy caseload and take day-to-day responsibility for leading a team of three Service Charge Litigation Paralegals.
The firm is open to retraining candidates from a high-volume Personal Injury background, provided you have strong litigation fundamentals, a solid understanding of the CPR and a commercial approach to decision-making.
The Role
You will manage your own high-volume litigation caseload while supervising a small paralegal team. You’ll ensure matters progress efficiently, step into more complex or sensitive cases when required, and make confident commercial decisions to maximise recoveries.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys responsibility, and is motivated by performance, efficiency and delivering strong client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a high-volume service charge litigation caseload
*Day-to-day supervision and development of three paralegals, setting standards and ensuring deadlines are met
*Reviewing files, guiding decision-making and acting as the escalation point for the team
*Applying a strong working knowledge of the CPR to keep cases moving and proportionate
*Analysing performance data, identifying delays and driving improvements
*Contributing to process improvements and supporting senior leadership
About You
*Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with litigation rights
*Background in high-volume litigation (Personal Injury experience welcomed)
*Strong understanding of the CPR and procedural decision-making
*Commercial mindset with the confidence to balance speed, cost and recovery
*Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
*Leasehold, property litigation or debt recovery experience is advantageous but not essential
*Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is beneficial but not a prerequisite
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity to move into a lead role within a specialist property litigation team, with genuine responsibility, support to retrain where needed, and the chance to influence how work is delivered day to day.
