SEND English Teacher – SEMH School

We are working closely with a fantastic SEMH school in Bristol to recruit a SEND English Teacher for an immediate start, on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a full-time position, teaching English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, within a highly supportive, inspiring, and well-led school environment. The school is committed to staff wellbeing and provides excellent structures to support both students and teachers.
The Role
As a SEND English Teacher, you will:
*Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
*Support pupils with SEMH needs, building positive relationships and trust
*Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning and emotional needs
*Work collaboratively with a strong SEND, pastoral and leadership team
*Help students develop confidence, communication skills and a love of learning
*Contribute to a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to speak with teachers who:
*Are a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
*Have experience teaching English ina secondary, SEND, SEMH, PRU or alternative provision setting.
*Are confident teaching across multiple key stages
*Demonstrate strong behaviour management rooted in trauma-informed practice
*Are resilient, empathetic and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
*Are available for an immediate start
