Bookkeeper
Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Fixed Term Contract
Salary: c£40,000
Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for a proactive and experienced Bookkeeper to join a busy construction client’s finance function. This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to the Directors and Company Accountant, with full responsibility for the financial management of two connected organisations.
Duties of the Bookkeeper:
*Full bookkeeping using Xero, including purchase and sales ledger management
*Payroll administration for approximately 90 employees across both businesses (weekly and fortnightly)
*Managing CIS submissions and ensuring compliance
*Identifying, analysing, and rectifying accounting and payroll issues
*Reviewing and correcting two years of company accounts
*Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cashflow management
*Providing accurate financial reporting to Directors and the Company Accountant
What we’re looking for:
*Solid experience in a bookkeeping role, ideally inbconstruction, or CIS experience
*Strong Xero knowledge and hands-on experience
*Payroll expertise for multiple employees, end-to-end
*Confident in financial analysis, problem-solving, and reporting
*Ability to work independently with ownership of the numbers across multiple entities
