About the Role
A well-established, child-focused nursery is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join its supportive and professional team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and education within a nurturing environment, supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
*Provide a high standard of care and education to meet the individual needs of all children.
*Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures at all times.
*Plan, observe, and assess children’s learning and development accurately.
*Act as a key person in line with nursery policy.
*Prepare and supervise engaging, age-appropriate activities.
*Supervise and support children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
*Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across the setting.
*Safeguard children and report any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
*Build and maintain positive working relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
*Maintain confidentiality where appropriate.
*Follow health and safety procedures and share responsibility for cleanliness and safety throughout the nursery.
*Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and training as required.
Requirements
• Minimum full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Confident understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
• Ability to carry out child observations and assessments with a good understanding of child development.
