Workshop ControllerLocation: Patchway, Bristol
Salary:£32,000 – £40,000
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (some Saturdays may be required)
About the RoleWe are looking for an organised and experienced Workshop Controller to join our busy service department in Patchway, Bristol. You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the workshop, ensuring efficiency, high-quality service delivery, and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities*Manage daily workshop operations, including scheduling and job allocation
*Maximise workshop efficiency and utilisation
*Liaise with Service Advisors and Technicians to plan workloads
*Monitor progress of jobs and ensure deadlines are met
*Ensure all vehicles are serviced and repaired to manufacturer standards
*Maintain accurate job cards, documentation, and reporting
*Monitor KPI performance including productivity, labour hours, and customer satisfaction
*Support Health & Safety compliance and workshop cleanliness
*Train and coach technicians where required
About You*Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, or similar role
*Strong organisational and planning skills
*Knowledge of automotive workshop processes and vehicle repair standards
*Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
*Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
*Experience with dealer management systems (Kerridge, Pinnacle, CDK, etc.)
*Full UK driving licence
