Generator Service & Commissioning Engineer (Electrical Bias) Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Location: In Commutable Distance To Bedale (Darlington)
We are recruiting on behalf of a growing specialist engineering business looking to appoint an experienced Generator Service & Commissioning Engineer with a strong electrical bias.
This role would suit an engineer who can hit the ground running and has solid experience working with generators across installation, commissioning, and servicing activities.
The Role Key responsibilities will include:
* Electrical-biased engineering work (approximately 80/20 or 70/30 split)
* Installation, commissioning, and servicing of generators
* Mechanical fitting and commissioning of generator systems
* Working primarily across Yorkshire, with occasional site work further afield
* Exposure to high-voltage systems
* Working with Deep Sea control panels
* Fault finding, testing, and commissioning of generator installations
Experience, Skills & Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with generators
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running
* Time-served engineer or hold relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications
* Full UK driving licence essential
* Strong electrical background with mechanical competence
Team Structure * Reporting directly to a senior engineer
* Working closely with one other engineer as part of a small, experienced team
Package & Benefits * £40,000 to £45,000 basic salary (DOE)
* Overtime available, paid at 1.5x (up to 40 hours during summer periods)
* Company vehicle provided for business use
