Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months +
Working Hours: Ideally Full Time
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working with occasional Court Attendance required
Hourly Rate: £50 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience
We are seeking an experienced professional with a solid background in Civil Litigation Law, ideally gained within a Local Authority or Private Practice background. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, with a particular advantage for those bringing knowledge of Property Litigation.
Duties may include:
*Draft, review, and negotiate Contracts
*Experience in property litigation including dealing with landlord and tenant disputes, forfeiture claims, trespass/encroachment claims, and dilapidations
*Manage Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
*Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol
*Ensure compliance with GDPR by overseeing data protection policies and practices
*Represent the Council in Court and conduct advocacy where appropriate in mainly remote hearings with some Court attendance required
