Retail Sales Assistant
Full time: 39 hours a week
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are seeking a retail sales assistant to support retail operations within our client’s showroom, covering Parts, Hardware, Clothing and Groundcare machinery. You will deliver excellent customer service, handle customer enquiries in person and by phone, and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day showroom activities.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist customers with product selection across Parts, Hardware, Clothing and Groundcare equipment
*Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
*Support workshop technicians with parts identification
*Process orders, manage goods-in and distribution
*Handle payments accurately
*Maintain showroom standards and support merchandising
Skills & Experience
*Retail experience essential
*Knowledge of agricultural or horticultural machinery/parts (advantageous)
*Strong customer service and communication skills
*Good numeracy, literacy and general IT ability
*Able to work well under pressure during busy periods
*Motivated by sales and targets
*Smart, presentable and reliable
*Full driving licence
