A lovely and welcoming primary school in Lewisham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil from January. This full-time temporary role is ideal for someone who is patient, consistent and committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
*Role: Teaching Assistant, Year 1
*Start Date: Monday 2nd February
*Location: Lewisham, London
*Contract: Full time - temporary (January to the end of the academic year)
*Pay: £100 - £120 per week
Responsibilities
*As the Teaching Assistant, provide consistent 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil throughout the school day
*Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities and resources
*Support engagement, focus and positive behaviour using agreed strategies
*Encourage independence, confidence and inclusion within the classroom
*Monitor progress and feedback observations to teaching staff
Requirements
*Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
*Experience supporting pupils in KS1 or a similar age range
*Able to build positive, respectful and trusting relationships with pupils
*Calm, patient and proactive approach to learning and behaviour support
*Available full time from January for the duration of the role
