The role of 2nd Line Support in the Financial Services industry involves providing exceptional technical support within the Technology department. Based in London, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and resolving technical issues efficiently. Hands on experience dealing with second line hardware issues is essential to this role and a financial services background is heavily favoured.

Description
*Deliver 2nd line support for Windows 10/11 desktop environments
*Troubleshoot laptop and desktop hardware issues
*Support Microsoft Office 365 and Entra environments
*Manage video conferencing and cloud storage technologies
*Maintain clear and accurate IT process documentation
*Identify recurring issues and drive permanent fixes
*Support BAU activities and contribute to IT projects
*Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
Profile
A successful 2nd Line Support should have:
*5+ years’ experience in IT support, ideally within asset management or regulated environments
*Hands-on hardware break/fix experience is essential
*Strong Windows OS and Microsoft Office troubleshooting skills
*Exposure to trading applications such as Bloomberg or Charles River
*Experience handling IT escalations and major incidents
*Familiarity with ITIL methodology
*Cloud technologies and vendor management experience
*ServiceNow proficiency (highly desirable)
*Basic networking knowledge (IP traffic, routing, firewalls)
*Understanding of GDPR and comms room infrastructure
*Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
Job Offer
*Competitive daily rate of GBP 220 to GBP 275 a day inside IR35
