Junior Finance Analyst – Wrexham

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Finance Analyst to join a supportive Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills, an analytical mindset, and who is working towards a finance qualification.
The focus of the role is on financial analysis, Excel-based reporting, cost centre and channel analysis, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities.
You will report to the Group Financial Controller and work closely with colleagues across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
*Support monthly management accounts preparation
*Produce accurate channel and cost centre reporting
*Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecast
*Prepare financial datasets and commentary for senior stakeholders
*Maintain and enhance Excel models and reporting tools
Budgeting & Forecasting
*Assist the budgeting and forecasting cycle
*Track performance vs. budget/forecast and highlight risks/opportunities
*Collect and analyse financial inputs from department managers
Operational & Ad-hoc Support
*Assist with month-end close (reconciliations, analysis)
*Contribute to cashflow forecasting
*Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and consistency
*Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for projects and initiatives
Who We’re Looking For
*Strong Excel skills (essential)
*Part-qualified or studying (AAT / CIMA / ACCA)
*Analytical, detail-oriented, and confident with large datasets
*Able to communicate financial information clearly
*Proactive, curious, and keen to develop professionally
Desirable
*Experience in a finance or analytical role
*Exposure to management accounts
*Experience with Navision (advantageous but not essential)
Note: Management accounting experience is not the main priority — Excel ability and analytical strength are key.
Working Hours & Hybrid Policy
*Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexible)
*Hybrid working: *Once fully trained: Up to 2 days WFH (Thursday & Friday)
*Office days: Monday – Wednesday
