Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Construction Epping


Basic Salary £25,000 – £28,000 DOE | £40,000+ OTE
This is a trainee recruitment role built for people who already understand sales environments and want a career with genuine progression and earning potential.
It is not an office-only position. You will spend time out of the office meeting candidates, visiting construction sites and meeting clients, learning the market properly and building relationships face to face as well as over the phone.


The Business
This is an established construction recruitment business with multiple offices across the UK and a strong reputation in the London market.
The company supplies labour and professional staff into live construction projects across London and nationally, working with long-standing clients and repeat business. Senior consultants manage significant accounts and maintain close working relationships with site teams, project managers and decision-makers.
The business is well known internally for developing people from trainee level into consistently performing consultants. Many of the current high billers started with no prior recruitment experience, learned the market from the ground up and progressed into account ownership, strong commission earnings and leadership positions.
This hire supports increasing demand across key client accounts and the continued development of the next generation of consultants.


The Role
You will join as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, working alongside experienced consultants on active, revenue-generating construction accounts.
This is a hands-on, commercial sales role combining structured phone-based activity with regular client and candidate meetings.
Your responsibilities will include:
*High-volume outbound candidate engagement
*Managing candidate pipelines against live construction vacancies
*Working to daily and weekly activity and performance targets
*Meeting candidates face to face and supporting site inductions
*Visiting live construction sites and spending time with site managers
*Meeting clients and learning how accounts are managed commercially
*Understanding client requirements and workforce planning
*Gradually taking ownership of roles and accounts as performance is proven
Regular exposure to clients and sites is a core part of the role and a key reason consultants progress quickly and perform well.




Who This Role Is For
This role is suitable for individuals with proven sales or target-driven experience, including:
*Graduates with sales, commercial or KPI-based backgrounds
*Non-graduates from sales, estate agency, telesales or similar roles
*People comfortable working to targets, KPIs and structured activity
*Candidates confident on the phone and in face-to-face environments
*Individuals motivated by progression and earning potential
Sales experience is essential. A degree is not required.
