We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established client who are looking to appoint a Quality Inspector to join their Quality team. The role focuses on ensuring mechanical components, sub-assemblies and finished products meet required engineering, quality and compliance standards, helping to support smooth production and customer expectations.
Quality Inspector - Key responsibilities - Mechanical Engineering
* Inspect incoming mechanical parts against engineering drawings, specifications and purchase order requirements

* Complete in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies

* Identify, record and escalate non-conformances in line with QMS procedures

* Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions when issues arise

* Read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances and specifications accurately

* Help maintain calibration compliance and traceability of inspection equipment

* Accurately log inspection outcomes and quality data within the ERP system

* Support goods-in and goods-out checks during busy periods to prevent delays

Quality Inspector - Essential experience - Mechanical Engineering
* Mechanical engineering background or strong hands-on inspection experience

* Confident working with mechanical drawings and tolerances

* Previous experience in quality inspection or mechanical inspection

* Good computer skills

* High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach

* Exposure to ATEX, industrial or hazardous-area equipment
