Interim Commercial Finance Manager
(Supply Chain, Business Partnering, Business Cases)

We are supporting one of the most iconic retail businesses in the world on a major value delivery programme across their supply chain.
They are looking for an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Manager to step in and act as a true commercial business partner across finance, procurement and operations.
This is a high-impact role focused on business case analysis, supply chain cost insight, value tracking and ensuring major initiatives deliver real financial outcomes, not just good intentions.
If you enjoy working at pace, challenging assumptions, building robust analysis in Excel and presenting clear commercial insight to senior stakeholders, this will suit you.
What you’ll be doing
*Acting as a true commercial finance partner across supply chain, procurement and programme teams
*Leading end-to-end business case analysis, challenging assumptions, phasing, risks and financial impact
*Building and stress-testing advanced Excel models, validating inputs and ensuring value stacks up
*Delivering commercial analysis across supply chain and operational cost drivers, identifying opportunities and risks
*Partnering with project managers to ensure financials align with delivery plans and milestones
*Supporting procurement-led initiatives with clear governance, savings methodology and value assurance
*Tracking value delivery at initiative level, updating savings, confidence, risks, timing and ownership
*Producing senior-ready commercial insights and commentary for CFOs, GMs and non-finance leaders
*Highlighting slippage, cost pressure and required actions early, keeping programmes honest and on track
*Supporting governance processes including accruals, claims, supplier credits and approvals
*Ensuring controls, documentation and audit trail are robust for supplier-linked financial activity
*Operating at pace in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity and imperfect data
What you’ll need
*Strong commercial finance experience at Finance BP / Commercial Finance Manager level
*Excellent business case and value delivery capability with confidence to challenge
*Advanced Excel and analytical skills, comfortable with large data sets
*Strong stakeholder management across procurement, supply chain and finance
*Experience in FMCG, retail, logistics or high-volume supply chain environments is a real advantage
