Job Description:
A small, well-established educational charity in Oxford is seeking a senior finance professional to take ownership of its finance function.
This newly created role offers a mix of hands-on financial management and strategic leadership, supporting senior management and trustees while strengthening systems, controls and long-term financial planning.
Key Responsibilities * Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
* Produce management accounts and reports for senior stakeholders
* Manage all day-to-day finance activity including payroll, payments, reconciliations, cash flow and fees
* Prepare statutory accounts and oversee audit and Charity Commission compliance
* Improve financial systems, processes and controls
About You * Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or working towards qualification
* Strong charity accounting and compliance knowledge
* Confident operating as a standalone finance professional
* Clear communicator with strong attention to detail
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable * Experience in charities, higher education or small organisations
* Knowledge of restricted funds and Gift Aid
