Full-Time Office Based
A multi-site distribution business based in the Poole area are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role and ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in day-to-day finance operations as well as higher-level reporting and control.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller Role
You will have end-to-end responsibility for the company’s financial operations, working with a fully integrated ERP system covering sales, purchasing, and stock management.
• Preparing and posting nominal journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Producing management accounts for directors and quarterly reporting to the bank
• Preparing audit files and liaising with external auditors
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Managing credit insurance and general insurance policies
About You
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, operational environment
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Confident using ERP and online banking systems
• Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
