We are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing client based in Newcastle. This is a hands-on working team leader role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and supervise a small powder coating team on the shop floor
*Remain hands-on with powder coating duties, including preparation, coating, and quality checks
*Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are met
*Monitor costs, materials, and efficiency to support operational performance
*Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety, and housekeeping
*Support training and development of team members
*Communicate effectively with management regarding performance, issues, and improvements
Key Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Powder Coater, ideally in a team leader or supervisory role
*Hands-on approach with strong technical knowledge of powder coating processes
*Good understanding of KPIs, productivity, and cost control
*Strong leadership and communication skills
*Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
*Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
