Job Description:
We are working with a growing organisation based in Derby that is looking to recruit a Company Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take responsibility for the preparation of management accounts, payroll, and VAT returns. You will also support the wider business with HR administration, as well as insurance and lease management.
The successful candidate will be CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified and will possess strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Experience using SAP and OpenAccounts would be advantageous, though not essential.
Duties include:
*Reconciliation of all bank accounts inc. foreign currencies
*Credit card reconciliations/posting
*Maintenance of fixed asset register
*Monthly prepayments and accruals schedule
*Maintenance of bad debts provisions. Overseeing key accounts.
*HR- administration/contracts creation and maintenance of HR portal.
*Monthly payroll and payments.
*Management of foreign factory payments
*VAT management
*Lease management & insurance management
*Commission reports collation
*Production of information/reports for annual audit
*Production of monthly management accounts
*General advice on legal/VAT/accounting changes
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to have complete autonomy over the accounting and finance function. The role is full-time and office-based, however some flexibility around working hours may be available for a suitable candidate.
