Job Title: Accounts Assistant Manager
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience
Location: Lincolnshire (office-based)
Working pattern: Full time, office based
An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join its accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified (or nearly qualified) accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.
About the role
You will play a key role in assisting with the management of a diverse client portfolio, working closely with senior staff and partners. The role is mixed and varied, combining technical review work, client contact, and team support responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
*Acting as a key member of the accounts team, assisting in managing a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
*Reviewing accounts, corporation tax and VAT returns prior to partner review
*Ensuring all review points and queries are cleared efficiently
*Involvement in accounts preparation, accounts reviews, corporation tax computations, personal tax and potential tax planning work
*Acting as a main point of contact for clients, answering queries and providing advice as required
*Assisting in the management of a team of approximately five staff, including support with technical queries
*Allocating work and monitoring job progress to ensure deadlines are met
*Using cloud accounting software and advising both clients and staff on best practice
About you:
*ACA or ACCA qualified, or within 1–2 exams of qualification
*Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
*Confident communicator with both clients and colleagues
*Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing deadlines
*Experience using cloud accounting software
