We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Field Service Engineer role
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours
Responsibilities of theField Service Engineer
*Repair, refurbishment, installations & commissioning of machinery
*Travel across the UK and Ireland
*You will also be expected to travel to Italian Head Office occasionally for training and & machine testing and very occasionally deployed worldwide if required
*Overtime paid door-to-door outside of normal working hours
*Full product training will be provided
Requirements for a successful Field Service Engineer
*Qualified Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
*Ability to read electrical diagrams and fault find from them
*Ability to mechanically fault find and repair
*Good fault diagnosis / problem solving skills
*Basic PLC Fault Finding knowledge
*Willing to travel within UK & Ireland (Some overseas travel may be required)
*Willing to work away from home for periods up to 5 days (or more on occasions)
*Willing to work changeable hours
*Full Clean Driving License
*Ability to use MS Office
*Good Communication Skills
*Report Writing Skills
*Able to work independently or part of a team
*Fluent English spoken and written
