Accountant – Audit & Reconciliations (Retail / Hospitality)
Location: Soho, Central London
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
Contract: 3-month fixed term (strong potential to extend)
Working pattern: Full-time | Hybrid (3 days office-based)
A well-established retail/hospitality business based in the heart of Soho is seeking an experienced Accountant to support its finance team through a critical year-end and audit period. Operating in a fast-moving, high-volume environment, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, deadlines and complex reconciliations.
Working with NetSuite, you’ll step into a hands-on role with immediate responsibility, partnering closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process. This is a great opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and making an impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities
*Acting as the primary finance contact for external auditors during the year-end audit
*Preparing and completing detailed balance sheet and year-end reconciliations
*Managing audit sampling and responding to audit queries efficiently and accurately
*Reconciling trade debtors and creditors within a high-volume transactional environment
*Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc audit and year-end requirements
*Working closely with AP and AR teams to ensure data integrity and timely reporting
Skills & Experience Required
*ACCA / ACA qualified or part-qualified (preferred, not essential)
*Proven experience in a retail, hospitality or consumer-facing business
*Strong exposure to external audits and tight reporting deadlines
*Comfortable working with high transaction volumes (2,000+ per month)
*Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial data clearly
*Proactive, adaptable and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
