Job Description:
MRD Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Facilities & Maintenance Technician, based in Port Glasgow on behalf of our leading Engineering client. The successful Facilities & Maintenance Technician, based in Port Glasgow will report directly into the Operations Manager.
The successful Facilities & Maintenance Technician, based in Port Glasgow will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance, monitoring systems and equipment. This role will operate on a rotating shift pattern with weekend and nights as part of a rotating shift pattern.
Key Skills/Knowledge for the Facilities & Maintenance Technician based in Port Glasgow:
*Mechanical biased background.
*Carrying out repairs, maintenance, monitoring systems and equipment.
*Working as part of a team in an engineering environment (e.g. installation, maintenance, repair)
*Demonstrate an understanding of safety systems
*Demonstrate good problem-solving methodology to identify, correct and prevent system / equipment faults.
*Ability to work as part of a team and actively participate in cross-functional team activities
Key Education/Qualifications for the Facilities & Maintenance Technician based in Port Glasgow:
*Have successfully completed a recognised technical apprenticeship.
*Suitable qualifications include ONC/HNC or equivalent
*Have proven communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable using MS Office software packages (mainly Excel).
