Head of Finance Business Partnering

Job Description:
We are hiring a Head of Finance Business Partnering for a newly created role to build and lead a best-in-class partnering function. This is a high-impact position, working as a key advisor to the CFO and senior leaders, with a strong focus on revenue management, performance and commercial decision support.
Key Responsibilities
*Build the function: Design and implement the finance business partnering operating model, cadence, governance and ways of working.
*CFO partnering: Act as a trusted strategic partner to the CFO, providing insight and challenge to drive business performance.
*Revenue leadership: Own and elevate revenue management across the organisation—forecasting, performance reporting, drivers/variance analysis, and revenue optimisation opportunities.
*Commercial insight: Translate data into actionable recommendations to support growth, pricing, margin, and customer/retention decisions (as relevant).
*Performance management: Lead monthly/quarterly performance reviews, ensuring clear accountability, insight, and decision-making.
*Stakeholder influence: Partner with functional leaders to align plans, manage trade-offs, and support delivery against targets.
*Team leadership: Build, lead and develop a high-performing team of finance business partners (immediate leadership or phased build depending on growth).
*Continuous improvement: Improve tools, reporting and planning processes to enable faster, better decisions.
Candidate Profile (Essential)
*Significant experience in finance business partnering in a complex organisation.
*Proven track record of CFO-level partnering and influencing senior stakeholders.
*Strong revenue management experience (e.g., forecasting, reporting, analysis of drivers, performance cadence).
*Demonstrable ability to build or scale a function (operating model, processes, team, culture).
*Commercially minded: able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
*Strong leadership skills with experience developing teams.
*Excellent communication skills—able to simplify complex issues and drive actions.
Desirable
*Experience in high-growth, transformation, or fast-paced environments.
*Exposure to pricing, commercial strategy, or customer/revenue analytics.
*Systems/MI improvement experience (e.g., forecasting tools, dashboards, automation).
