Senior Credit Analyst
Salary: Up to £60,000 (flexible based on experience)
Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week in West London
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Reed is delighted to be partnering with an established B2B energy organisation who are seeking a skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join their expanding Commercial function. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a fast-paced, data-driven environment and work alongside seasoned industry professionals.
In this position, you’ll play a pivotal role in assessing and managing credit risk across a diverse portfolio of energy sector counterparties. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to support sustainable business growth, shape credit policy, and deliver expert analysis that informs strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead credit assessments for high-value or complex counterparties, including group structures and SPVs.
*Monitor and manage credit exposures across physical power and gas supply contracts.
*Execute accurate quantitative and qualitative credit reviews and insurance requests.
*Develop and enhance credit risk policies, reporting frameworks, and approval processes.
*Manage collateral arrangements including guarantees, LoCs, security deposits, and escrow facilities.
*Act as a senior point of contact for complex credit queries and bespoke credit solutions.
*Track macroeconomic and sector developments impacting counterparty risk.
*Support and review credit elements of trading documentation (EFETs, GTMAs, MNAs, CSAs).
*Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and automate reporting.
*Produce data-driven reports for internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
*Strong analytical and numerical skillset with excellent attention to detail
*Confident interpreting financial data and conducting financial analysis
*Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
*Able to manage workload autonomously and prioritise effectively
*Experience working in credit risk within energy, utilities, or commodities (2+ years)
*Working knowledge of Electricity and/or Gas markets
*Proficient in Excel (intermediate+); SQL/Python/Power BI a bonus
*Exposure to trading agreements (EFET/GTMA/etc.) beneficial
