Semi Senior/Senior Accountant

Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Eastbourne, is seeking a Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid practice experience who is looking to broaden their responsibilities, progress their career, and become part of a supportive and collaborative firm.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors
*Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Assisting with or leading client bookkeeping and VAT returns
*Preparing management accounts and providing insightful commentary
*Supporting junior team members and reviewing their work (for senior-level applicants)
*Liaising directly with clients, building strong long-term relationships
*Assisting with tax computations and returns
Requirements
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
*AAT qualified / Part-qualified ACCA / ACA, or qualified by experience
*Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
*Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
*Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and work independently
