Smart Education is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEND primary setting where all pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan and require tailored learning support. This role is ideal for candidates who are confident working with pupils who present complex needs, including physical, sensory and severe learning difficulties, and who thrive in an inclusive, nurturing environment.
The school promotes a personalised education that fosters independence, communication and creative thinking, and provides equal opportunities for every pupil to achieve their potential in a safe, supportive setting.

Job Requirements:
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
• Experience working with pupils with SEN and complex needs in a school setting
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid passport
• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references
Role Responsibilities:
• Provide in-class, small group and 1:1 support for pupils with additional and complex needs
• Assist with implementing personalised learning and behaviour support plans
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and communication development
• Encourage independence, engagement and positive behaviour
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
