Finance Data Analyst

Location: Christchurch, Dorset (office based)
Job Type: Initial 3-6 month contract with the possibility of a temp to perm arrangement
Hourly Rate: £15-£20 per hour
An established property business based in Christchurch are seeking to recruit a Finance Data Analyst on an initial 3-6 month contract. This is a key role supporting financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making across the business.
The Finance Data Analyst RoleYou’ll work closely with the finance team to analyse large datasets, improve reporting processes, and deliver clear, actionable insights. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, improving systems, and turning numbers into meaningful information.
Key Responsibilities*Preparing and maintaining financial reports, dashboards, and analysis
*Manipulating and analysing large datasets using Excel
*Building and improving automated reports and data models
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
*Working with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
*Identifying opportunities to improve data quality and reporting efficiency
Key Skills & Experience*Advanced Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data modelling) – essential
*Experience with Power Query and/or Power BI (highly desirable)
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise way
*High attention to detail and accuracy
