The job you’ll do:
*Work safely, following site rules and health and safety legislation.
*Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and minimise production downtime.
*Diagnose faults, maintain and repair plant and equipment.
*Estimate job completion times and understand the impact of delays.
*Report breakdown causes and equipment faults.
*Ensure high-quality work adhering to standards.
*Assist in developing PPM schedules and moving/installing equipment.
*Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities.
*Perform tasks as directed by the Shift Manager/Engineering Manager.
*Understand engineering and technical information.
About you:
*Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Maintenance or similar (HNC is desirable)
*Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment
*Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical information.
*Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Good communication skills at all levels.
