We are recruiting a Part-Time Finance Director to join a charity on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will provide hands-on financial leadership, overseeing a small finance team and managing the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations during a period of transition.
The successful candidate will balance strategic oversight with operational delivery, ensuring robust financial management and clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities *Provide overall leadership and direction to the finance function
*Line manage and support a small finance team
*Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
*Ensure strong financial controls, processes, and governance are in place
*Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports
*Support senior leadership with financial insight and decision-making
*Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and other stakeholders as required
*Ensure compliance with charity and statutory financial requirements
Person Specification Essential:
*Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (Finance Director / Head of Finance or similar)
*Experience managing and developing a small finance team
*Strong hands-on approach with the ability to manage operational finance tasks
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
