Job Description:
Role: Procurement Officer
Contract: Fixed-Term
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Location: Manchester
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer for a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role offers great benefits including remote/hybrid working, enhanced pension contributions and flexi-time.
The Role:
*Support the Category Managers with end-to-end procurement projects
*Responsible for sourcing and negotiating terms with suppliers
*Manage procurement contracts
*Administer tender documentation
*Support and assist with the development of category strategies
*Communicate with stakeholders at all levels
*Assist with the reporting on procurement spend and efficiencies achieved for contracts awarded
*Cover projects across various categories
The Person:
*Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 / PA 2023
*Experience in the Public Sector
*CIPS qualified, or willing to work towards
*Ability to manage multiple projects at once
*Commercially aware
*Analytical
*Verbal and written communication skills
