Job Description:
Your new Company
A UK Top 100 law firm recognised in The Times’ Top Law Firms, amongst a host of other accolades, reaffirming them as a great place to work which offers scale, stability and a strong platform for career progression. This Full-Service firm has multiple locations, offering a fantastic opportunity for multi-team collaboration, and shared client growth.

Your new Role
A strong opening for a Construction Senior Associate who wants early client contact and meaningful progression within a growing Real Estate practice. Working closely with a highly regarded construction partner, you’ll have immediate exposure to high quality development work and the benefit of hands on guidance from leaders in the team. You’ll join at an exciting point in the firm’s growth, with three new Real Estate development partners recently added and a clear focus on expansion. Your work will span a broad mix of non-contentious construction matters, with opportunities to support dispute-related issues when they arise.
Your caseload will include advising mid-sized developers, contractors, consultants and funders across commercial, mixed use and residential development, supporting real estate finance matters including affordable housing and strategic land projects and drafting and negotiating JCT and NEC forms, alongside bespoke schedules of amendments. You will also provide support on construction dispute resolution where appropriate.

Although the role is based in Southampton, you’ll have the flexibility to work with colleagues in other locations, with hybrid working available as needed. You’ll be joining a team known for long-standing relationships and trusted adviser status across their client base.

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed here, you will be a qualified solicitor, ideally with 5+ years’ PQE in non-contentious construction and be confident in construction law, with a working understanding of dispute resolution processes.
You will be experienced in drafting and negotiating the full range of construction documentation and be comfortable working autonomously while still contributing to a supportive, close-knit team.
An interest in clean and renewable energy projects is desirable, but not essential.
You will combine technical capability with a proactive, collaborative approach.

What you’ll get in return
A competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package and an inclusive culture with genuine flexibility, allowing you to balance office life with hybrid working. This is a genuinely relaxed but professional environment, alongside regular social and networking opportunities, working from a unique working environment.

What you need to do now
If you are interested in these roles or would like further information, please get in touch for a confidential discussion. If these jobs aren’t quite right for you, but you’re exploring new opportunities, we’d still love to hear from you.
We would expect a lawyer with the given PQE to have gained the level of experience required, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
