THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for experienced Level 2 Field Service Technicians to support an ongoing field-based break/fix contract delivering hardware repair services across multiple customer sites.
This role focuses on scheduled field visits rather than deskside support and is ideal for technicians with strong hands-on experience repairing HP and Lenovo laptops and desktops in varied customer environments.
THE ROLE
*Carry out scheduled site visits to customer locations across Manchester and surrounding postcodes
*Provide field-based break/fix hardware repair on HP and Lenovo laptops and desktop devices
*Perform full device diagnostics, strip-downs, component replacement, and rebuilds
*Manage service tickets via a mobile application, including parts collection, onsite repair, and next-day parts return
*Deliver professional, efficient onsite technical support to end users
*Liaise with remote support teams for escalation and troubleshooting where required
*Ensure all work is accurately logged, documented, and closed within agreed SLAs
*Average workload of 4-5 tickets per day
TECHNICAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
*Proven experience in Level 2 field engineering or hardware repair roles
*Strong hands-on knowledge of HP and/or Lenovo hardware
*Confident diagnosing and repairing laptops, desktops, and peripherals
*Excellent customer-facing communication skill
*Full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and tools required
