About the Role
An established and well-regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their growing team. This is a client-facing role, ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys building relationships and acting as a trusted adviser to a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors
*Acting as the primary point of contact, providing proactive accounting and business advice
*Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies
*Reviewing management accounts and VAT returns
*Overseeing personal and corporate tax compliance
*Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
*Liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders as required
*Identifying opportunities to add value and cross-sell services
About You
*ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
*Proven experience working within a UK accountancy practice
*Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts and compliance
*Confident advising clients and managing long-term relationships
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to manage deadlines and workloads effectively
