Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider in the training sector, is seeking an Academic Trainer to join their team in Portsmouth. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a term-time-only basis at Gosport. As part of a bold transformation in electrical training, you will have the opportunity to leverage your engineering expertise to mentor the next generation of engineers.
Key Responsibilities: *Delivering training to groups of up to 24 trainees in Electrical or Electronic engineering and machine principles
*Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments
*Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
*Maintaining and updating training materials with Training Design staff
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
*Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or proven teaching/practical experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
*Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
*Classroom experience in teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment
*Level 4 teaching qualification

This role is offered on a term-time basis, working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will be pro-rated accordingly and includes contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
