A warm and well-resourced SEN school in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to work with pupils on the autism spectrum, including students with communication difficulties and sensory needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive specialist setting.
Key Information:
*Role:ASD Support Assistant
*Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
*Pay: £89-£100 per day
*Start Date: ASAP
*Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
*Age Range: 5-18 years
Your Role as an ASD Support Assistant:
*Support pupils with Autism on a 1:1 and small-group basis
*Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing
*Use visual supports, structured routines, and personalised strategies
*Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
*Work collaboratively with Teachers, Therapists, and SEN professionals
This ASD Support role is ideal for graduates or aspiring Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, or SEN professionals, offering excellent hands-on experience in a specialist autism provision.
