Deputy Manager – Residential & Nursing Home
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our leadership team and work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and wellbeing for our residents. This is a hands-on role combining leadership, operational management, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of residents and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the Home Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the home.
*Lead, motivate, and support the care team to deliver safe, person-centred care
*Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CQC standards
*Oversee resident care plans, assessments, and admissions to maintain individualised care
*Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across the home
*Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
*Assist with staff rostering, resource management, and operational efficiency
*Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and home-wide projects
*Act as a visible, approachable leader within the home, supporting both staff and residents
Skills & Experience
*Proven experience in a senior or leadership role within a residential or nursing home environment
*Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practice care standards
*Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills
*Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
*Experience with care planning, risk assessment, and operational oversight
*Ability to inspire staff, foster a positive culture, and promote resident-centred care
*Empathy, integrity, and commitment to improving the lives of older adults
