Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Nursing Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a CQC-registered care home in Nottingham. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing or senior care environments, ideally within nursing homes or assisted living settings.
Holding a current NMC PIN is preferred but not essential. This role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment
*Lead, support, and develop the staff team, promoting a positive and high-performing culture
*Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, care standards, and internal policies
*Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualised care plans
*Monitor residents’ health needs, including medication management where required
*Maintain accurate records relating to resident care, staffing, and operational performance
*Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
*Promote resident wellbeing through engagement, activities, and quality care initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
*Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or in a senior management role within a care home
*Minimum 5 years’ experience in a nursing home environment
*Nursing background or senior care experience highly desirable
*Strong leadership and people-management skills
*Sound knowledge of medication administration and care planning
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Compassionate, resident-focused approach with a commitment to high standards of care
Qualifications
*Certificate of Higher Education (or equivalent) – required
*NMC PIN – desirable but not essential
*NVQ Level 5 ( Or working towards)
Salary & Benefits
*Competitive salary of £50,000 – £75,000 per annum, depending on experience
